There are four basic requirements to be eligible to become a foster parent in North Carolina:

You must be at least 21 years of age.

You must have sufficient space in your home for a child/children.

You must successfully complete a criminal background check.

You must be able to demonstrate financial stability, as evidenced by the ability to cover your personal monthly expenses.
